Who Are We?
I'm Richard Wright CLU, Representative of Alberta Wealth Management Inc., headquartered in Edmonton. We have a competitive edge because we partner with the top investment and insurance companies to help our clients reach their financial goals.
I entered the financial services business to not only help people reach their financial goals, but their life goals as well. There's nothing that brings me more satisfaction than hearing from a valued client that they're right on track and that they couldn't have done it without the mentoring and coaching I gave them.
I believe the path to helping our clients attain financial success starts by understanding their core values and goals. We care deeply about each and every client, and we're completely accountable to all of them.
AWM doesn’t chase flavour-of-the-month investments. Instead, we patiently pursue investments that match our client's financial targets. Because we take the time to get to know our clients and their needs, we know what works best for them.
Richard Wright has over 25 years' experience in the financial services industry. I served as one of the top financial executives for several years, training individuals to become top-notch financial advisors. The balance of my career has been devoted towards building my independent advisory firm, Alberta Wealth Management Inc. My formal education was at Fanshaw College in London, Ontario, majoring in marketing. I took my graduate studies in theology at the North American Baptist Seminary in Edmonton, Alberta. I am a Chartered Life Underwriter.
Since I run an independent company I have more flexibility for my clients. I am not forced to choose only my company’s products. I have an advantage over banks and other financial institutions because I can pick from a broad range of products and select what is best for my clients.
I am a past chairman and founder of Alberta Harvest. Through my sponsor, the well-known singer and actress Hilary Duff, Harvest raises thousands of pounds of food to feed the hungry. I have also been nominated to serve as national chairman for Canada Harvest.
